It is difficult learning of the passing of classmates of long ago. Bob Timmerman was a close friend of mine through Smart Junior HS. Bob and I also played football at West in our sophomore year. We also lived near each other in West Davenport. I remember the day John Kennedy was asassinated and Bob and I walked home together and talked about it. Strangely, days afterward, we were watching television together and we witnessed the asassination of Lee Harvey Oswald together.

Bob always had a friendly spirit and sense of humor about him. I will always remember Bob's good spirits and our friendship. May God give him peace and comfort.
