Joan Marie StratmanDAVENPORT — Services and a Mass of Christian Burial for Joan M. Rossmiller Fennelly, 65, of Davenport, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 417 Main St., Davenport. Following Joan’s wishes, a private burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is 9 a.m. until Mass time Thursday in the Gathering Space at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

She passed away suddenly Sunday, Dec. 18, at Genesis Medical Center-East Rusholme Street, Davenport, surrounded by her family.

Joan Marie Stratman was born April 10, 1951, in St. Louis, the daughter of Urban and Philonese (Whitfill) Stratman. Joni graduated from Davenport West High School, Class of 1969.

She was united in marriage to Thomas M. Rossmiller in 1970. He passed away in 1988. She later married Lawrence D. Fennelly in 1995. Joni enjoyed family and was especially proud of her grandchildren, who affectionately called her “Gran."

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Larry Fennelly, of Davenport; two daughters, Angela (Kevin) Sammon, of Coralville, Iowa and Amy (Dion) Snyder, of Lake Villa, Illinois; three grandchildren, Emily, Elizabeth and Thomas “Tommy” Snyder; siblings, Tom (Veronica) Stratman, Jim Stratman, Daniel Stratman, Bob Stratman, Mary Stratman and Anne (Mike) Dunbar; and the extended Stratman, Rossmiller and Fennelly families.

In addition to her first husband, Tom Rossmiller, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Kenneth Stratman and her uncle, the Rev. Bill Stratman.
