DAVENPORT — Thomas A. Miller, 59, of Davenport, Iowa, died Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, Davenport. Services in celebration of Tom’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 5, at First Presbyterian Church, 1702 Iowa St., Davenport. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Weerts Funeral Home, Kimberly at Jersey Ridge, Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Davenport, the American Cancer Society, or to the American Diabetes Association.

Tom was born in 1950 in Davenport to Horace and Agnes Miller. He was an independent insurance agent and earned his CPCU designation. Most recently, he worked as a customer service representative with APAC for Medco. He was a lifetime member of First Presbyterian Church, Davenport, and Independent Insurance Agents, for which he was a past president. He enjoyed stamp collecting and model building.

Survivors include his mother, Agnes Miller, of Davenport; sister, Judy (Doug) Nelson, and brother, Robert L. (Marsha) Miller, all of Bettendorf; a special friend, Pam Wolfe, of Davenport; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
