James HasonDAVENPORT — James “Buff” Hasson, 65, of Davenport, died unexpectedly Thursday, March 30, 2017, at his home. Memorial services in celebration of his life will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 6, at Weerts Funeral Home, Kimberly at Jersey Ridge Road, Davenport where his family will greet friends 9 a.m. until time of service. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Buff was born in 1951 in Davenport, to Floyd and Lorraine Hasson. He was a 1969 graduate of Davenport West High School. On April 19, 1980, he married Mary Willaert in Davenport. Buff was a production machinist at J.I. Case before training to be a registered nurse. Since 1992 he traveled, working as a registered nurse. He was a high school athletic official and enjoyed sports, especially the Iowa Hawkeyes. He also enjoyed collecting coins and watching John Wayne movies.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; daughters, Jennifer (Todd) Voiles, of College Station, Texas, Sarah (Dana Frankin), of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Rachel (Jake) Fleming and Amy Hasson, both of Baird, Texas; grandchildren, Nikolas Voiles, Millah Voiles, Eleanor Lowen and Benjamin Lowen; brother, Joseph (Mary) Hasson, of Davenport; and nieces, Barbara Ann Hasson and Rebecca McGlasson, both of Davenport. He was preceded in death by his parents.
