IN MEMORY

I have been aware of James passing for many years but wanted to take this opportunity to express my regrets and make note of my rememberances of James. I believe someone told me years back that James was unfortunately killed in a car wreck.

James went to Hayes Elementary school with me in the early 60's. I distinctly remember James because he was extremely talented at playing basketball. Even at the age of 9 he was very advanced and could outplay anyone. He had technique at an early age equal to players 4 or 5 years older than him.

We didn't interact with each other through high school too much, but I remember Jim in those later years to always be friendly and good spirited. May God rest his soul.

Jim was my very best friend jr high thru high school. I was working with him the day that he died. I had to tell his parents about the accident. He was a good person. I still think about him a lot.

Several of us went to the funeral home to pay our respects that night in 1969 after Jim died. At a time when many high schoolers are concerned with who they are seen with or what they are wearing, none of that mattered to Jim. He was genuinely a good person and still missed over 40 years later.
